The debut release from Melbourne based trumpeter Toby Mak. To kick off his recording career he has enlisted the talents of some of Australia's most respected and busiest musicians - saxophonist Jamie Oehlers, pianists Sam Keevers and Mark Fitzgibbon, bassist Matt Clohesy and drummers Danny Fischer and Dave Beck. As one would expect with a crew like this the performances are top notch. A fine collection of Toby Mak originals are presented with the band's readings of the jazz standards "Just Friends" and "We'll Be Together Again" plus an exciting and catchy arrangement of the bebop classic,"Cherokee".
