Sandro Donati's new CD ' Progjet Friul' is a just beautiful.

The release takes the village songs and poems from Sandro's birthplace, Friul- in the far north east of Italy, and presents them with his new band, La Bande di Sandro.

The material on the CD is a link to that music that started years ago, with European/ Italian musical forms finding their way into the new world and blending with African and American cultures to emerge latin/ jazz and a myriad of subtle offshoots.
