Michael Charles for years has performed live, a few handpicked covers, some of his most loved songs and some of his favourites. In answer to numerous requests from fans to have these tunes in their collection, commissioned recordings of these special songs have been released as the “Under The Covers” CD Single series.  Dedicating this collection as a tribute to his following, Michael insisted on using only fan generated photography in the artwork for these singles.

The first single release from the 'Under The Covers' collection is After Midnight. Michael, a long time fan of blues luminary JJ Cale, admits that After Midnight is probably one of his most favourite songs of all time. This recording pays tribute to the JJ Cale for writing what has become a modern blues staple, and Eric Clapton for helping to give After Midnight the recognition it deserves. the bonus cut for this single is a live impromptu version of Otis Rush's All Your Love.
