The Tango Saloon - Shadows And Fog

Available now!

Album Description

‘Shadows & Fog’ conjures images of lurking figures in the shadows, a midnight rendezvous, a heist gone bad, betrayals and double-crosses. Heavily influenced by tango pioneer Astor Piazzolla and film-music legend Ennio Morricone, The Tango Saloon fuse the most delectable elements of film score, rock, gypsy, jazz and electronic in a way that honors the tango tradition with a sense of humour and ingenuity.

Having released their self-titled debut back in 2006 on Mike Patton’s Ipecac label and following up with their successful 2008 release ‘Transylvania’, The Tango Saloon have captivated audiences and listeners across the globe with their twisted tango sounds and spaghetti western themes.

“Curwin doesn’t let a laugh get in the way of good music, ensuring that when he makes you smile, the piece withstands repeated listening.” – John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald

“Really, really unique, a completely personal take on music.” – Jessica Nicholas, Radio National
